A fascinating and aesthetic specimen from recent finds in China. A fabulous, 1.5 cm, velvet malachite ball dominates and looks like the pommel on the very sculptural, saddle-shaped matrix of malachite. Both sides of the "saddle" are covered with two generations of azurite, bright royal-blue azurite is overlain by sparkly, sharp, midnight-blue azurite crystals.
