Amongst the azurite specimens coming from Anhui Province, there have been, quite rarely, these ELECTRIC BLUE (and I mean that) specimens of small, shimmering, bladed crystals - easily one of the most intense blues I have ever seen in a mineral specimen! We had only three of these in recent months, that went for very high prices at auction. We went looking for more of them at shows and with the original people who brought them in. Unfortunately, these people had only a couple more amongst more than a thousand specimens of Chinese azurite, and we have not see a single one at the shows. This is THE LAST OF THEM THAT WE HAVE. It is a bit darker in person than the pic shows - very hard to photograph. That knob in the foreground is not nearly as distracting in person - it is just closest to the camera so looks more obtrusive than it really is. There are a couple of very dark areas in the azurite that actually serve to provide a pretty contrast with the electric blue that characterizes most of the display face. 9.4 x 8.8 x 6.3 cm
