What an exceptional, three-dimensional cabinet-sized cluster of gemmy, light mint green Apophyllite from India! We have seen thousands of specimens but this one is special, as emphasized by the fact that it was kept by Rock himself - and Rock pretty much opened up India for mineral exports in the 1970s-80s. His business, Jewel Tunnel, is named after the famous find in India of crystal-lined tunnels. Every Fluorapophyllite crystal is super lustrous with gemmy terminations and glistening internal reflections that just makes these crystals glow and sparkle. It looks like a vertical green flower! The base of the crystals are a slightly turbid and slightly darker mint green and quickly transition to gem clear to radiate their vibrant mint green color. Crystals are from 1 to 3 cm in length and are all well terminated without damage. The Fluorapophyllites contrast well with the associated translucent white Stilbite crystals that vary from 0.5 to 2 cm in length. The radial divergent character of the Apophyllite can be seen on the underside of the piece. Every angle affords a great and different view of the piece! This piece has great aesthetics and good composition. This is an Indian classic and extraordinarily beautiful, standing out from so many others..
