This is a big, five inch bowtie of Stilbite with a few blocky Apophyllite crystals for accent from Nasik, India. The light salmon-pink bow tie has the classic tapered waist that flares out on either end into fan-shaped terminations. The Stilbite bowtie is largely two-dimensional, but is about an inch thick and has good luster and translucence. There are several other 1 to 3 cm Stilbite crystals at either end off to the side that are growing in combination with a few, blocky, translucent, pale green Apophyllite crystals to 2 cm. This big, beautiful Stilbite piece can either be displayed vertically or flat! Rock Currier bought the specimen from Helen Schnider in New York City in 1971. His words follow, "Even after several trips to India it was my best bow tie stilbite and is still a very good one." - Rock noted in 2007
