A complex growth of secondary calcite crystals has resulted in a beautiful, glassy and gemmy, orangey calcite crystal, measuring 1.5 cm across, perched on a stalactite. The stalactite seems to be calcite that coated and replaced an original mineral, probably goethite. This was a famous find of the 1990s, now seldom seen for sale today, and it is an excellent single "stalk" representing the discovery.
