A modern discovery of legrandite at the old Ojuela mine in 2021 surprised everybody with a style completely different from what we had seen in the past. This specimen host is made of rounded spherical clusters of crystallized legrandite to 2 cm each, and they are canary yellow and glowing when backlit — very different from any previous finds. This was one of the choice miniatures from the lot, which came out through Marshall Sussman at the time.
