Fluorite with Quartz and Dolomite
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China
Cabinet, 11.2 x 7.0 x 3.9 cm
Ex. Kurt Hefendehl
SOLD

From China's famous Yaogangxian Mine, this fine cabinet specimen features a half-dozen gemmy, glassy, and stunning deep purple Fluorite cubes, to 1.7 cm, with striking dark purple edge phantoms. The cubes are aesthetically flanked by several Quartz crystals, up to 2.8 cm, and all are nestled among a rich bed of tan, 1-2 mm Dolomite rhombs. Naturally, the Fluorites have good purple fluorescence. All fluorites are perfect except only one back corner of the least of them, facing to the rear. This is instantly recognizable as coming from older finds at Yaogangxian Mine.
