The Diana Maria mine, in operation since 2017, has produced a number of great specimens, however the Queen of Green pocket stands out as a remarkable find of some of the greatest fluorite specimens from the quarry in the modern era. This small cabinet specimen stands out from the crowd thanks to a bright white aragonite coating, nicely isolating a few gemmy, emerald green fluorite crystals up to 1.4cm. Damage on the specimen is minimal and mostly concentrated along the edges, however there is a fracture in the uppermost crystal that is clearly visible on display. The fluorite displays the hallmark purple daylight fluorescence the finds at Rogerley quarry are well-known for, and glows even more intensely under UV lighting. A great, affordable example of this association from the find - where the specimens of green blanketed in white have always asked for and fetched a premium. It was originally priced at $3500 by the dealer bringing the pocket to market. We are pleased to announce that we made a sizable purchase of the stashed material from this find, which had been put away before COVID, and so we are now able to offer them years later and at half the original asking prices!
