Spectacular group of large bladed Anglesite crystals, rare for Tsumeb. Crystals of this size were not common at Tsumeb! This group consists of elongate, tabular, off-white to grayish white Anglesite crystals that have striations and/or linear growth features parallel to their long axis and display a glassy luster on one side of the piece, and a satin luster on the other. There are nearly a dozen crystals in this cluster that range in size from 1cm up to 6.2cm! Very local and very tiny, <1mm, subhedral aggregates of bright blue Posnjakite (often labelled as Linarite but I have been told the association is Posnjakite although this piece has not been analyzed itself) is simply a bonus on the front side of the piece. A profound Tsumeb Anglesite with great provenance; ex. Richard Gaines and Shields and Frances Flynn collections with labels. A rare size and display quality for Tsumeb anglesite.
