Riemvasmaak Fluorites production between about 2010-2013 have proven to be sensational for their superb octahedral form and the vivid, pure green color as in this piece. These octahedrons are sharp, with the largest and most dominant freestanding crystal measuring a substantial 4.7cm edge. The two crystals that comprise this piece are translucent to gemmy, fluorescent, and have razor sharp edges with all of the points intact on the display portion. There is attached drusy Quartz as well as crystalline Quartz on the left side of the piece with local, thin, ruddy brown patches along with some small Fluorites. Small clusters of diminutive but complete Fluorites are present on the right rear of the specimen. There is contacting at the bottom and on the back side. This is a very elegant and well balanced Riemvasmaak small cab specimen with overall aesthetics that are showy and excellent. These are long gone and this is an unbelievably good piece that sits very well on its own! Better in person.
