Among the various Phenakite localities, this mine is know for its crystals that are twinned along the C-axis. The re-entrants on the sharp termination are indicative of the twinning, and crystal from here are remarkably gemmy and well-formed. This superb crystal is very gemmy, doubly terminated, twinned, and approximately 8 grams in mass. Phenakites of such high quality and aesthetics came out primarily around 2008, and since that time, a few small, sparse pockets have been hit and intermittently worked. This is a superb example of the beautiful and water-clear, "drill-bit" twins, on Smoky Quartz no less. One of the finest examples I have seen of thes species in TN size, and competitive-level!
