Rich and exceptionally attractive, this Cuprian Adamite exemplifies why it is one of the most coveted species from Tsumeb. The crystals on this miniature literally create an emerald green forest atop the matrix, with the highly lustrous crystals reaching up to about 6 mm in length. Interestingly, the crystals have an unusual habit that looks to be somewhere between scalenohedral and tabular, which certainly adds interest to the piece. Most crystals are pristine, sitting upright in the middle of a field of contacted or damaged peripheral edges. Such sharply crystallized Cuprian Adamites are uncommon, and the overall aesthetics are excellent. This is a rare style, with intense color, found only a few times. Previous dealer label was $1300 valued, some years ago.
