Growing vertically from a solid, central rock matrix are dozens of slender, bright silver colored wires of untarnished silver, to 6 cm in length. A new find of "hairy silver" wires, from this old silver mine in China. These specimens are rich masses of intergrown silver, so thick and heavy as a whole, and yet elegant and fine at the same time. The wires are actually elongated spinel twins. It has been some years since we have seen silver in so rich a form, as this, from China. I bought a few specimens only, from a large find brought out at the Chenzhou (Hunan) show in May 2018. These were among the cherry-picks of the lot of approximately 200 pieces.
