Fluorites are rare from Utah, with the Deer Trail Mine being a bright beacon of production. This rich plate of Fluorites on white Quartz is striking for the locality. The modified cuboctahedrons are gemmy with finely textured faces, creating a frosted look that highlights the form. Deer Trail Fluorites are unique for their unique green-blue color. This color is a soft, beautiful combination of light blue with a hint of light green, and it combines so well with the gemminess. The largest of the crystals is about 2 cm across, and the fluorescence is excellent. Very choice material, likely from the large 1981 find. The aesthetics are top-notch for Deer Trail, and it is simply a lovely Fluorite specimen overall.
