This specimen showcases classic, thick, ropy Kongsberg silver but it is that rare piece with a somewhat solid base to it, of massive silver and argentite. For the size and price range, I would say this is the best specimen in that range (of good size and under $7500) I have seen for sale in a LONG time. Even German silvers, much more wispy, go for this kind of price. I particularly like the elegance of the arborescent wire, and that it can be viewed from all sides quite nicely.
