Sperrylite
Broken Hammer Deposit, Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada

A rare platinum-containing species, this splendent Sperrylite crystal is almost unprecedented for the locality - it IS Canadian (I know, as i got from a mine geologist), but it has the size and impact of a more common Russian crystal! The 1.2 cm crystal is nicely formed with mirror-bright faces. So reflective you could almost use it as a disco ball, it is competitive quality in calibre and size. Better in person, as the mirror brightness is hard to capture in a photo!
