A significant thumbnail display specimen of the magnificent platinum group mineral sperrylite, featuring a sharp and shiny crystal just perfectly perched on a pedestal of matrix. It is so unusual to find such a freestanding crystal, as they are normally buried in the matrix. Also, unlike most large crystals, this one (1.25 x 1.0 x 1.0 cm) has no crackling and cracking that we often see on any sperrylites of 1 cm or larger. It is a significant, sharp display specimen.
