A large portion of a fracture surface on this piece is essentially covered with pale brown to brown-pink, prismatic crystals of allactite to 0.5mm, partially outlined by a wide band of brown to almost black crust of pyrochroite. From the Moss mine, Nordmark, Filipstad, Varmland, Sweden, the type locality. This is an old specimen as indicated by notes on a Leif Engman business card that accompanies Swedish Museum of Natural History and Paulo Matioli labels.
