First-rate combination of outstanding, prismatic Celestines with eye-catching, truly unusual spherical Calcite "balls" as decoration. The 'ribbon' of Celestine crystals runs virtually the entire length of the specimen, and with their high luster and grey-blue color they show very well atop the Celestine matrix. Surrounding the Celestines (which are to 1.7 cm), on the forest floor so to speak, are dozens of pure white 1-2 mm Calcite spheres that complement the Celestines exquisitely. Mined in 1987. Great aesthetics! Maybe unique? This is from the Rick Russell Collection beforehand and Ross Lillie had a $4500 price sticker affixed to the back of his label noting this history. It is really just a gorgeous mineral specimen in person, although perhaps on a flat screen it seems like "just another" celestine. Complete 360 degrees, by the way!
