The photo speaks for itself, I think! This is a crazy good "wire" silver from Peru, with terrific aesthetics and one of the most fat and robust "ropey" growths I have ever seen from here. Wire silver is actually a rare form of elongated crystallization, and such large examples only come from a few localities. It is in stature of the wire, comparable to old material from Kongsberg in Norway. I have seen larger silvers from this mine, but none which had so much character or style as this one. It has not been cleaned to brighten it, and retains a subtle yet bright natural patina. Joe Budd photo.
