A sharp cluster of disc-shaped, tapering azurite crystals of highly unusual habit for the locale. very lustrous, and bright, these azurites are more reminiscent of Tsumeb material. Overall this specimen has a slight curvature to it, and is very aesthetic and appealing to view on a shelf, quite a bit more bright than the normal old Chessy styles. The piece is complete all around, except for one break to the rear of the termination of the large crystal in center - a break that admittedly lowers the price, but is really invisible from the front display face anyhow. This came from the Robert Faber collection, and he had obtained it from dealer Lawrence conklin in the late 1980s.
