- Beryl (Var: Aquamarine)
- Padre Paraiso, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
- Small Cabinet, 9.0 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm
Though not the gemmiest aquamarine crystal, it is rather large, it is complete all around and doubly-terminated, and it is from a mine you do not see a lot of specimens around from. The slender sidecar crystal is gemmy. Also, the side faces are very sharp and lustrous. You can see where the crystal has grown around bits of stark white albite. The crystal weighs 113 grams. From a new find.
