The unique tabular habit, violet-blue color with gemmy, "electric-blue" highlights and brilliant luster of the azurites found in the 1994 Easter Pocket find at Tsumeb are legendary. This fine specimen is highly representative of this incredible find. The two well-placed, wulfenite-like tabular crystals reach 1.5 cm on this specimen. The 3-dimensional mounded matrix is a Tsumeb potpourri of mineral species and includes: tiny cerussite blades near the azurites; sparkly, sugary dolomite; a rich scattering of contrasting native copper; and accenting green malachite or mottramite on the massive sulfide matrix.
