- Tsumeb Mine (Tsumcorp Mine), Tsumeb, Otjikoto (Oshikoto) Region, Namibia
- Small Cabinet, 6.3 x 5.0 x 4.2 cm
Numerous sharp, azure-blue crystals to 1.5 cm abound sticking out of this bizarre kaolinite matrix. Most are intact, only a few damaged (though some are). The claylike matrix presents a contrast you rarely see, with Tsumeb azurites, of blue on a white background. Over all, in any case, it's a good rich azurite specimen from probably the world's most famous azurite locale, as well. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
