A sharp, riveting, 2.3-cm-long crystal of electric blue azurite rests atop a carpet of velvety malachite on this classic 1980s-era combination piece from Morocco. These azurites have a thin secondary azurite coating atop the big crystal, which is translucent/transparent, giving it the seemingly internal electric flashes of azure blue as you look through it to the crystal underneath.
