Tom Hall, well known to many collectors and dealers in the 1970s through 1990s, had a long career as a violinist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and got to travel the world for 40 years. In the process, he pursued his passion and interest in mineral collecting.
While traveling, he visited and patronized mineral dealers and shows around the world. Many of his specimens date back to the old show circuit of the 1970s and 1980s, with purchases from notable dealers early in their career such as Charlie Key and Herb Obodda. We are proud to present selections from our friend's collection, not shown publicly ever, and hidden away in Chicago for most of the last 20 years.
