The finest of the Riemvasmaak Fluorites found between about 2010-2013 have proven to be sensational, not only for their superb octahedral form but also the vivid, pure green color. These octahedra are sharp, with the largest crystal being a substantial 5 cm on edge. They are translucent to gemmy, fluorescent, and the faces along the back have a differential growth pattern that is both interesting and attractive. There is attached drusy Quartz as well as crystalline Quartz, with some contacting along the bottom, naturally. To me, this is one of the more elegant Riemvasmaak small cab specimens I have seen. It is so balanced and so pleasing to the eye, with overall aesthetics that are showy and excellent. Long gone, these are old finds now.
