California-San Diego Co.

Many of the world's greatest tourmalines have been discovered in California's San Diego County. Himalaya Mine, Elizabeth R. Mine, Pala Chief Mine, and Tourmaline Queen Mine are only some of the famous mining localities that have been prized for the mineral deposits found. Calcite, aquamarine, garnet, epidote, kunzite, stilbite, quartz, morganite, and many other minerals come from this region. Many different varieties of tourmaline have also been sourced here.
