A very unique specimen of large purple/lavender colored octohedra of spinel perched in marble matrix. Purple spinel is quite rare, and this is one of the largest such examples of good crystals I have seen. It is aesthetic, complete all around, and features crystals with a really nice translucency and surface luster. The large twinned cluster is just over 4 cm across, including sidecar crystals.
