These friends of mine specialize in quartz and have recently culled a few pieces out in trade to me. This specimen is noted for both its exquisite aesthetics (and the luster and gemminess are FAR more impressive in person!!!) and also for its rarity in that SMOKY quartz from here is quite rare in such quality. Note the size given, and you see it is very equant and symmetrical, not the usual slender scepter! This specimen is pristine and complete all around, and it is admittedly pricey for first appearance but I can assure you that in person., the qualities of the piece really leap out at you and you can understand why it is a premium (which is why I paid this same price as well, in trade, to get it).
