Colombian emeralds are world famous, as they should be, and remain the number one source for fine emeralds for both gems and for specimens - what few the mines produce and survive to market anyways. Here is a crystal with the most incredible saturated, gorgeous, gem-quality green color, 1.5 x 1 x 1 cm in size, perched nicely on a small pedestal of matrix! We cannot decide whether it should go best as a vertical specimen with the crystal standing straight like a green tower, or as an angled presentation with the crystal at a tilt atop. Either way is magnificent for display, and it is a superior level of thumbnail specimen for the size and price range. No repairs or restorations, unlike most of the matrix emerald specimens on the market.
