Wonderful multi-generation Fluorite on Fluorite specimen consisting of highly unusual translucent golden-honey yellow ball-like clusters of gemmy Fluorites resting on a bed of contrasting intergrown translucent purple Fluorite octahedrons. The botryoidal Fluorites, up to 2.7 cm, appear to be composed of small stepped growth octahedrons showing curved triangular faces. The aesthetic well balanced display face combined with the superb radiant glow of the gemmy Fluorite spheres highlight the piece. However, the back tells the interesting story of the formation history showing 4 layers of Fluorite generation prior the the final botryoidal stage. The piece starts with a dark purple phase, then green, then a colorless to light lavender growth followed by the upper thin zone of purple Fluorite. A really cool insight to the formation of this incredible piece. This striking pristine Fluorite specimen is from 2022 finds from the Yangjia Mine in Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province. This perfect small cabinet specimen with its well balanced amazing golden honey Fluorites is just hard to beat!
