Scintillating azurite crystals completely line a large vug (pocket) of malachite and azurite. Just the slightest amount of light will create bouncing flickers of sparkle in this cabinet-sized geode of azurite from Anhui, China. This is from a single famous large pocket that came out in the early 2000s, through Ken Roberts. I remember well, as I bought this piece and others from him at the time, out of the back of his truck at the Tucson Convention Center, when the shipment came too late for the show. It is difficult to convey, by video, but a beautiful and rich color in person.
