This is a simple but really colorful and classic style for the mine, with a bright pink tourmaline capped by a faintly green/blue-toned termination when looked at from the side (but it looks pink, looking down the C axis). This one is so gemmy you can look down into it from the top, through the glassy clear termination. There are a couple of shallow contacts on the crystal but they do not detract from the attractiveness and quality of the specimen. Mass is 19 grams. From the collection of Shields Flynn. This has INTENSE color - it literally glows from a case. It is not the same color, in person, as Queen and Himalaya mine specimens. According to Bill Larson, such crystals as this, with the color and phantom atop, date to the early 1900s era here.
