Indicolite Tourmaline on Quartz
Pederneira Mine, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Small Cabinet, 8.8 x 3.0 x 2.0 cm
SOLD

This piece speaks for itself and is a fine Pederneira Tourmaline for its size category because it is so dramatic and unique amongst hundreds of others found. it is a glassy and gemmy, green-blue Indicolite tourmaline crystal measuring 5.8 cm in length, with two smaller sidecar crystals, is aesthetically attached at the bottom/top to a stout, glassy and gemmy, colorless Quartz crystal ( measuring 3.4 cm in maximum dimension). Dramatic and beautiful! The small Tourmaline on the termination is 1 cm and the other crystal perched crosswise halfway up is just over 2 cm long and both are doubly terminated! It has one very clean, tight repair. We called it "Sword in the Stone" when I first had it some time ago, and recently was able to reacquire this piece. It was likely mined in the period around 2005-2008 under Daniel Trinchillo's famous mining operations here.
