- Ex. Martin Zinn
So-called "rice grain" Smithsonite is a rare style notable from the Kelly Mine, seldom seen in other localities , and immediately recognizable for the combination of shape and color. This specimen is a cute small cabinet piece featuring dozens of rounded "rice grain" crystals of Kelly Smithsonite on contrasting dark rock matrix, and no damage. This is from the deaccession of the Martin Zinn Kelly Mine collection, built over decades.
