Prehnite as individual textbook crystals are not at all common anywhere and the Jeffrey Mine in Quebec has produced some nice ones on rare occasion. Over two dozen razor-sharp, gemmy, pale green, orthorhombic crystals make up this remarkable miniature. The lustrous, very well formed crystals have perfectly formed faces and are all nicely terminated. The 3 mm to 1.5 cm Prehnite crystals are also well isolated in the cluster and very distinct resulting in a an aesthetic and well balanced miniature. Many of the crystals are completely transparent and others are transparent to translucent. The largest crystal sitting cross-wise at the top of the cluster is doubly terminated which is almost unheard of for Prehnite crystals! The color is a very pleasing light seafoam green. This is a fantastic well crystallized Prehnite miniature!
