Rose Quartz on Quartz
Ilha Claim, Taquaral, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Small Cabinet, 6.2 x 3.1 x 2.9 cm
Ex. Bruno and Rolando Gioia

A divergent flowery cluster of Rose Quartz crystals is perched on a larger colorless to milky Quartz crystal. The delicate Rose Quartz spray consists of 1 to 2.5 cm, glassy, pastel pink crystals that are translucent at their base and transition to transparent tips. The contrast of this pink cluster on the milky to colorless Quartz crystal is marvelous. There are also distinct crystal faces present on the larger Quartz crystal on the backside shows that it may have grown against another, larger Quartz crystal. There is some contacting on the bottom and in places at the base of the Rose Quartz cluster where it was attached to other Rose Quartz crystals in the pocket but it is mostly complete all around and is very 3D in person. A nicely composed piece with the Rose Quartz burst at the top of milky Quartz crystal, it is just unusual among so many plain simple rose quartz specimens.
