This large, stout, gem floater crystal of Jeremejevite exhibits a high glassy luster and excellent, rich blue-purple color as typified by the best crystals from this locality. This crystal has etched and resorbed crystal faces and terminations that reflect brilliantly in any incident light. This two and a half inch Jeremejevite is doubly terminated, displaying many micro crystal faces at each end. A few of the prism faces are evident, but most are etched and barely recognizable; however, they all display a dazzling luster and reflect incident light from any angle! The scintillations from this crystal are unusual in that they are linear due to the multitude of tiny, elongate, etched prism faces. This is a large and exceptional Jeremejevite crystal from an already exceptional find, in a size we rarely see, with a mass of 15.19 grams! Because of the size, it has an unusually good color saturation as well. This is an incredibly important large gem crystal of the species.
