Beautiful teal-blue Rosasite on Malachite from Tsumeb, where the species is fairly uncommon (it actually is uncommon in such a rich specimen from ANY locality, come to think of it - but particularly from here). A thin, coarse surface of vibrant blue-green Rosasite covers radial aggregates of Malachite that can be seen on the reverse side of the piece making for an interesting combination specimen. The tight, radial, bright green sprays of Malachite consist of individual acicular to prismatic crystals to just over 1cm in length. There is a touch of Hematite gossan in one area on the side of the piece. In excellent condition with only faint tiny scratches. Ex. Charlie Key collection with label (Charlie is legendary! We purchased his spectacular and broad lifelong personal collection around 2010 in partnership with Marshall Sussman).
