Hedenbergite
Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia
Miniature, 5.2 x 3.9 x 1.6 cm
Ex. Robert Sielecki
SOLD
Highly lustrous, thick tabular crystals of hedenbergite, to 1.2 cm in length, exhibit a deep forest green color with gemmy, neon green highlights. This is a stunning miniature from a very rare pocket, of freestanding crystals that were not encased (as is too often the case) in surrounding rock. It is also an exceptional example of the species, from anywhere. A unique find, and a surprising display specimen.
