AND it must be the sparkling kind of white calcite, not the bland white pasty luster of some. This specimen is such an example - a superb miniature! Highly lustrous and translucent, deep emerald green dioptase crystals, to 1.8 cm in length, are emplaced beautifully on white calcite. The largest dioptase crystal is also doubly terminated.
