Dioptase and Calcite are among Tsumeb's most desired species, and the two in combination can be iconic and classic. Here we have sharp, lustrous, and colorless Calcite rhombs that average 2-3 mm on edge, and these abundant crystals are distributed evenly across the matrix. The good clarity allows the included, emerald-green, micro Dioptase crystals to create a beautiful two-tone effect in most of the Calcites. The Calcites even have a faint orange fluorescence. The balance, color, and form of this piece, as well as the excellent condition, make this small cab aesthetic and desirable. As a side note, I love seeing the label of my old friend John Veevaert is on this one, from years ago.
