An artistic piece composed of a divergent quartz cluster with a hematite rose perfectly placed at the top of the cluster. The quartz crystals are slightly etched and translucent to locally milky with the with many of them exhibiting a delicate reddish-pink tint due to a dusting of "powdery" hematite. The backside of many of the quartz crystals display tiny calcite crystals and minor very fine-grained specular hematite. The main hematite cluster is composed of brilliant, bladed crystals in a near spherical arrangement. All of the quartz crystals are complete and a few appear broken but on close inspection these few crystals have been fractured due to natural processes and then etched and rehealed. An elegant specimen with great balance and aesthetics! Most such specimens are rather jumbled and messy. The clean, elegant look of this well-sized specimen makes it very unique.
