3.2 x 2.3 x 1.6 cm (Specimen); 14.23 carats; 18.94 mm x 13.16 mm (Gem) - Gem quality Feldspar is not common in the world, and to have a beautifully matched set like this from Mexico is certainly hard to find. The gem is a lovely soft golden-straw colored "Step Cushion" cut stone with excellent clarity and good size. The crystal has a bit of etching on the surface but still retains good overall form with excellent internal gemminess. It's actually impressive that the crystal survived because pieces this size with such wonderful clarity are almost immediately sent off to the faceters tables. As an added perk, the crystal actually shows a slight amount of internal bluish shimmer when it's rotated in the light, sometimes referred to as "adularescence".
