A fine LARGE display specimen that is remarkable in condition! Unique to the North End ore body of the Denton Mine, intergrown fluorite specimens like this fine example exhibit both stepped growth at the core and secondary growth at the crystal edges (which reach 4.5 cm across). The crystals have a light yellow color along with purple zoning at the terminations. This is a rare combination of colors and association is a bonus as well...As a bonus splendent, brassy yellow chalcopyrite crystals, to 3 mm across, are scattered over the fluorite. Mined 1984 and once part of Ross Lillie's collection with RCL#1300. It is not pristine, with just a few tiny dings - but it is close enough. Ross' label indicates that most larger pieces from this pocket were cracked up and fragile, and so lost in the process of collecting.
