This mine produced some striking elongated sceptered tourmalines in the 1990s (amidst much volume, particularly gem rough which was cut), and has not really come out with much in the way of specimens recently. This is from a small pocket of early 2013, which produced mostly thumbnails. It shows the typical pale pink base of the old scepter tourmalines, but is fatter and more robust atop than any of the old ones I have seen in person. The color is very intense: a deep and rich forest green! It is a gorgeous, intensely-colored, small cabinet tourmaline specimen for any collector. Actually, it is not even cleaned yet... this is how it came out of the mine! Joe Budd photos.
