Tetrahedrite
Colavi Mine, Machacamarca District (Colavi District), Cornelio Saavedra Province, Potosi Department, Bolivia
Miniature, 4.7 x 3.0 x 2.9 cm
SOLD
From the new find during recent mining activity in 2003, this piece features the largest crystals (2.3 cm across) yet to be seen from the find. It has a group of sharp, highly lustrous "stepped" tertrahedra aesthetically sitting atop Quartz and associated with Pyrite octahedra. Please note that these crystals are very difficult to photograph and look much better in person. There were very few of these found and I'm told that the mine has already stopped producing specimens of this material. 4.7 x 3 x 2.9 cm
