This a a large, doubly terminated, lustrous, dark brown, "fairy cross," staurolite specimen. It admittedly has some damage, but it is huge and is well formed. Rarely do you see such a well-formed and 3-dimensional example of the species 4.1 x 3.9 x 3.1 cm
