Very fine, Staurolite penetration twin from Montejo de la Sierra in Madrid. The twins are classic for that locality - that being an oblique angle for the crystals rather than the right angles that you commonly associate with Staurolite twins. The color is a deep reddish-brown with a good luster. The crystals are exceptionally sharp, which contributes greatly to making this an outstanding thumbnail for the species.
